Cognitive Surplus

On the subject of Wikipedia as a form of producing collaborative content, I wanted to find other websites that were similar that I didn't know about when I stumbled across this TED Talk called Clay Shirky: How cognitive surplus will change the world. The tone behind this talk is much different than I expected since Wikipedia often receives a lot of negative commentary, but Clay Shirky's take on how collaboration in the digital world and how it betters the world because of humanity's desire to be generous was extremely interesting.

Also, I found Reinventing the encyclopedia game, which was very entertaining in my opinion, and I thought my fellow librarian folk might enjoy it as well.
